Automate 2019 Sees Record Attendance
The Remtec team was proud to be a participant in Automate 2019. The biannual Automate show is the foremost automation technology showcase featuring the latest innovations in robotic, vision, and motion control automation technologies. Automate 2019 took place April 8 – 11, 2019 in Chicago, Illinois at the McCormick Place complex, and according to reports, saw a record number of attendees.
According to an article in Modern Materials Handling, preliminary figures indicate more than 20,000 participants attended, which represents a 25% increase over 2017. Show attendees saw “advancements in robotics, vision, motion and advanced automation technology from more than 500 exhibitors from around the world.”
The Remtec exhibit in Booth 8311, featured a new demo robot displaying flexible robotic vision inspection technology. The display included a Fanuc LR Mate 200iD robot with iRVision, Cognex and multiple lighting solutions. A Fanuc SR-3iA SCARA robot was also on display to demonstrate circular visual line tracking robotic technology. Remtec representatives had the opportunity to speak with many booth visitors about our qualifications and experience in the development of customized and integrated automation systems. Our displays provided the ideal backdrop for demonstrating our ability to design, build, and install complete turn-key systems for unique product handling needs including machine vision, assembly, kitting, robotic case packing, palletizing, depalletizing, high speed picking, packing, and material handling.
Following an 8 year run in the Windy City, the Automate show will be moving to Motown. Automate 2021 will take place May 17-20 at Detroit’s Cobo Center.
