Chris Simons Promoted to Executive Vice President of Remtec Automation

Chris SimonsRemtec Automation is proud to announce the promotion of Chris Simons to Executive Vice President. The announcement, made on behalf of the CM Paula Board of Directors, recognizes Chris’s 32 years of dedicated service, industry expertise, and the leadership role he has played in shaping Remtec into the company it is today.

Three Decades of Growth

Chris joined Remtec in 1994 as a Project Engineer and Mechanical Lead. Over the following decades, he built a deep technical foundation that would eventually inform his approach to sales, strategy, and company leadership. In 2012, Chris transitioned into an applications and sales role, a move that would prove pivotal both for his career and for the business.

When CM Paula acquired Remtec, Chris was already establishing himself as one of the company’s key contributors. By 2017, he had stepped into a formal leadership role alongside Terri Campbell and Craig Wolffer, and continued to rise through subsequent promotions to Director of Sales and Vice President of Sales.

Navigating the Highs and the Hard Years

Chris’s tenure in sales leadership spans some of Remtec’s most defining chapters. He guided the company through the strong growth period of 2018 to 2022, and then through the more demanding years of 2023 to 2024, when a significant downturn in the automation sector forced difficult but necessary decisions.

Those decisions mattered. The company is now well-positioned for future growth, backed by its capabilities, its reputation, and the uncompromising commitment to quality that defines the Remtec way.

Chris was central to that outcome.

What Makes Chris’s Leadership Distinctive

Those who work alongside Chris describe a leader who brings equal measures of passion and pragmatism to the role. He leads with dedication, but also with the realism and flexibility that complex business environments demand. His long-standing leadership partnership with Terri has been a consistent source of strength for the organization.

Perhaps most significantly, Chris’s knowledge of the automation industry is unmatched. Whether in a client meeting, on the shop floor, or in the boardroom, he represents Remtec with credibility and integrity, qualities that have been part of who he is since day one.

Looking Ahead

Chris’s promotion to Executive Vice President is a reflection of what 32 years of the right kind of work looks like. It’s a recognition of the wins, yes, but also of the harder stretches, the judgment calls, and the long-game thinking that keeps a company moving forward.

Remtec congratulates Chris on this well-deserved milestone, and looks forward to what the next chapter brings.
